Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, December 21, 1993 
Dora Burchett, of the 800 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., a retired domestic
worker, died Dec. 19, 1993, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Burchett was born in Newbern, N.C. She was the widow of Powell Burchett and
was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great
nieces and nephews, and niece, Mrs. Mary Smith and family of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in New Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Graves Funeral Home
is handling arrangements. Family and friends will assemble at 850 Virginia Beach
Blvd. (Calvary Towers) the day of the funeral.
