Dallas McKinley Burford, of 1620 Melon street, died at his residence on Feb. 
20 after an illness. Funeral rites were conducted on Feb. 24 at First 
Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. C. E. Griffin.

Mr. Burford was a native of Norfolk and had been employed at the Virginian 
Railway coal piers for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lucinda Burford; one daughter, Mrs. 
Delores Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Brickhouse and Mrs. Catherine Jiles.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
