Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday January 13, 1943

 
Thomas Jefferson Burford, aged 82, husband of Mrs. Molly C. Burford, of 1249 
West Thirty-Ninth Street, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 6:30 
o’clock after a lingering illness. Mr. Burford was a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk. Besides his wife he is survived by a brother, C. L. Burford, of 
Norfolk; three sons, L. R. Burford, of Richmond, and Arthur, Fred and 
Charles Burford of Norfolk; two grandchildren and two nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Gregory Funeral Home, Granby at 
Thirty-Forth Streets, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in 
the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
