Stewart J. Burford , 31, of the 300 block of Dillon Drive, an assistant chef, died 
May 2, 1992, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Burford was born in Brooklyn Kings, N.Y. He was employed with Rudee's 
Restaurant. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents, Edna and Vernon A. Burford; two sisters, Desiree E. 
Burford and Michaeline M. Yarnell; and a brother, Vernon A. Burford Jr., all of 
Virginia Beach.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Nicholas 
Catholic Church by the Rev. James Noto. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A 
Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home, Lynnhaven Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to the church's building fund.
