The deceased was an octogenarian and had she lived until March would have reached her 83rd year. Mrs. Burgess was the daughter of the late William Francis Tarrant, of Norfolk County, and was the mother of Mr. Lemuel Pumphrey, Miss Mattie A. Pumphrey, and the late William F. Pumphrey. She is survived by seven grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the residence, 120 Brewer Street, at noon Wednesday.
