Mrs. Mary Jane Burgess - Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Burgess, who died July 14 
at her residence, 2715 Broad Creek road, were held Sunday, July 17, at St. John’s 
AME Church, with the Rev. J. A. Johnson officiating. Interment was in Calvary 
Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Burgess, daughter, Miss Elizabeth 
Burgess and son, Lawrence Burgess of Washington DC.
