Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, May 6, 2002
NORFOLK - Mary S. Burk, 81, of the 200 block of Sir Oliver Road, passed away 
May 4, 2002, in her residence.
 She was a native of Cleveland, Tenn., and had retired from Crestar Bank in 
1985. She was a member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church in Norfolk and 
enjoyed an active life as a community volunteer, including ushering for the 
Norfolk Arts Program and membership in the Cromwell Farms Civic League.
 She was the widow of Simon Z. Burk and is survived by a son, D. Michael Burk 
and his wife Susan of Annandale, Va.; her sister, Marjorie S. Patrick of 
Powell, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Christen and Brian Burk.
 A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Royster Memorial 
Presbyterian Church, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
