Mrs. Mary Callan Burke, of 324 Beechwood Place, died last night at 7 o'clock in a 
Norfolk hospital.

The widow of John E. Burke and the daughter of the late Thomas Leonard and Mrs. 
Catherine Hoban Callan, Mrs. Burke was a native of Baltimore. She had spent most 
of her life in Norfolk.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Otto Wells, Mrs. Martin Owen Cabin, Mrs. 
Samuel Maler Subers and Mrs. Phillip Dale Dean; one son, F. Edmund Burke; one 
brother, Martin W. Callan, five grandsons, and two great-grandchildren, all of 
Norfolk.

The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, of which Mrs. Burke was a member, for funeral services tomorrow 
at 10 a. m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Rosary services will he held at the funeral apartments tonight at 7:30 o’clock.
