Satterthwaite of Norfolk; five sisters, Mrs. R. W. Patterson, and Mrs. W. Calvin Chick, both of Norfolk, Mrs. J. A. Brittingham, of Richmond; Mrs. G. N. Staples of Pueblo, Colorado; and Mrs. Alma Sigman of Lynchburg; a brother, Walter Burks, Jr., of Norfolk, and a grandson, Bobby Satterthwaite of Norfolk. He was a native of Amherst County, and had been a resident of Norfolk for 33 years and resided at 309 West 26th Street. He was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church, Lynchburg, and was proprietor of the Burks Sheet Metal Works. The family will be at 223 W. 27th Street. The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.
