BURLAS, MRS. BESSIE COOKE – At a Towson, Maryland hospital, November 27, 1971, 
MRS. BESSIE COOKE BURLAS, widow of Louis J. Burlas, Sr., and a daughter of the 
late Edward L. and Mrs. Lillian Murden Cooke, in the 74th year of her age. A 
Requiem Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church. The Office of the Dead will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, today, November 29, 1971, at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend.
