Mrs. Burnell, a Portsmouth native, was the widow of Malcolm Burnell. She had retired from Portsmouth General Hospital. She was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star, Miriam Chapter. She was a Red Cross Gray Lady. Survivors include two sons, Howard C. Aydlett of Portsmouth and Charles L. Aydlett of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; two sisters, Alice A. Baillio and Shirley A. Baxter, both of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery , Norfolk, by the Rev. Arthur W. Wingfield. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home.
