Burns, wife of Mr. Peter Burns, of this city, died suddenly at her home, No. 412 Bute Street, Sunday morning at 9 o'clock, of heart disease. She attended the early service at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church that morning in apparently good health, but was taken sick immediately after reaching her hone and expired in a few minutes. The deceased was a most excellent lady and devout Christian, having been a communicant in the Catholic Church from early childhood. She was 63 years of age. The funeral will be held from the Sacred Heart Church at 10 o'clock this morning. ***************** BURNS - Suddenly, at the residence, No. 412 Bute Street, Sunday, December 31, 1899, at 9 o'clock, MARGARET, wife of Peter Burns, aged 63 years. The funeral will take place from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, York Street, THIS (Tuesday) MORNING, January 2, 1900, at 10 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. **************************************************************************** The obsequies of Mrs. Margaret Burns, wife of Mr. Peter Burns, whose sudden death occurred at her home on Bute street Sunday morning, were solemnized from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 o'clock yesterday morning in the presence of a large congregation of sorrowing friends and relatives. Requiem mass for the repose of the soul of the dead was celebrated by the pastor, Rev. Father T. J. Wilson. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. James O‘Rourke, Martin Cashin, Edward Mahoney, John Coleman, Thomas Gorman, Michael Cashin, Patrick Hart and William M. Hannan. There were a profusion of beautiful floral tributes.
