Burns, aged 58 years, died at his residence, 398 Bute street, at 8:30 o’clock Sunday morning. Mr. Burns had been confined to his bed for ten months, hence his death was not unexpected. He was well known and highly respected for many genial qualities. He was a member of the following organizations: Pickett-Buchanan Camp, C.V.; Harmony Lodge No. 19, I.O.O.F.; Wyandotte Tribe, Improved O.R.M.; and Norfolk Lodge No. 9, Knights of Pythias. The funeral took place at 5:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon from the Second Presbyterian Church, and the interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
