NORFOLK — Anna Carmela Burns, 56, of the 100 block of W. Ocean Ave., a waitress, 
died Feb. 4, 1989, in a hospital.

Mrs. Burns, a native of Torre del Greco, Italy, was employed by the Veneziano 
Restaurant for 20 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Patrick Burns; two daughters, Catherine 
Clark of Middlebury, Fla., and Cynthia Gravitt of Norfolk; two sisters, Vincenza 
Guerrissa and Geny Grieco, both of Genoa, Italy; a brother, Anniello Mennella of 
Naples, Italy; and three grandchildren.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph Slattery. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery Mausoleum. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Friends may join the family 
from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the church.
