Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, April 24, 1991 
Lenora Billups Burnside of the 2500 block of Druid Circle, a retired remote
operator, died April 22, 1991, in a hospital.

Mrs. Burnside, a Norfolk native, had retired from the Naval Supply Center after
30 years. She was a member and trustee of Queen Street Baptist Church. She was
secretary of the Norfolk Branch of N.A.A.C.P. and president of the Daughters of
Norfolk.

Survivors include a son, Joseph A. Billups, and a brother, William T. Billups
Jr., both of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Queen Street Baptist
Church by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends
may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at
9:30 a.m. Saturday. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
