Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday April 6, 1948
Mrs. Mary Virginia Saunders Burroughs, 86, widow of Warner M. Burroughs, died 
at a Norfolk hospital last night at 7 o'clock.  She is survived by three sons, 
Horace V., Norman C. and W. Edward Burroughs; two brothers, Marion C. and 
William T. Saunders; a sister, Mrs. George W. Gilbert, all of Norfolk; 19 
grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Burroughs was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and was a member of the Park 
Place Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2:30 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
