DAYTON, Ohio — Edward R. Burroughs Jr., 81, of 630 Burgess Ave., died Sunday in 
a nursing home.
Burroughs, a native of Portsmouth, Va., had retired as an instructor-artist at 
the Dayton Art Institute.
Survivors include his wife, Queenie G. Burroughs; two sons, Dr. Edward R. 
Burroughs of Montana and Bruce G. Burroughs of Hampton, Va.; two brothers, E. 
Murphy Burroughs of Dayton and William McKeal of California; and five 
grandchildren.
A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Elmwood Cemetery in 
Norfolk, Va., by the Rev. Robert C. Hastings. Sturtevant Funeral Home of 
Portsmouth is in charge.
