John J. Burroughs, and daughter of the late Richard H. and Anna Maria May Baker, died at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning at Richmond. Mrs. Burroughs had spent practically her entire life in Norfolk, having resided at Richmond for the past three years. Surviving her are three sons, Richard H. and Hugh M. Burroughs, of Richmond and Benjamin B. Burroughs, of Norfolk; five grandchildren, two sisters, Miss Minnie Lee Baker, Mrs. Thom B. Lane and one brother, Dr. Benjamin May Baker, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Church, Norfolk, today at 12 o'clock noon, with the rector, the Rev. H.H. Covington, D.D., and the Rev. R.H. Baker, of the Church of the Redeemer, Baltimore, Md., officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
