The Norfolk Virginian, November 26, 1895

The funeral of Mr. R. A. Burroughs took place from St. Vincent’s Hospital 
Sunday afternoon, and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. 
W.D. Smith, of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Brambleton, and the interment was 
in Elmwood. The following were the pall-bearers: Judge F.M. Whitehurst, Walter 
Russell, H.L. Worthington, A.W. Cornick, W.F. Fentress, Justice J.L. Seneca, 
G.H. Keeling, W.B. Southall.
