JOHN W. BURROW This Well Known Merchant Expires Suddenly at His Residence in Ghent The announcement of the morning papers yesterday of the death, at his residence, in Ghent, of Mr. John W. Burrow, the well known Main Street druggist, was received with considerable surprise and sorrow. Mr. Burrow was at his place of business until about 9 o'clock Monday night, apparently in his usual health. After talking with his family, he was preparing to retire, when about 11:30 o'clock he was stricken with apoplexy and died within a few minutes afterwards. The deceased was in the 60th year of his age, and for forty years had conducted the drug business, his establishment for a number of years past being at 142 Main Street. During those years he had accumulated considerable property. He was a man of sterling worth, upright and honest in all his dealings with his fellow man and always considering his native city. He has a host of friends who regret exceedingly his sudden death. Mr. Burrow had been married about thirty-five years, his wife being Miss Anastasia Devereaux, of Richmond, Va., who, with three sons, Mr. Devereaux Burrow, Mr. Alan Burrow and Mr. trigon Burrow, survive him. His funeral will take place from the Church of the Sacred Heart, York Street, tomorrow morning at 9'o'clock.
