Virginian-Pilot  March 20, 1888
The funeral of Inez Burrow, whose death was announced in a previous issue of The 
Virginian, took place from St. Mary’s Catholic Church Sunday, and was largely 
attended. Rev. Father W. Gaston Payne, assistant pastor of the church, celebrated 
a solemn requiem mass, after which the remains were borne to St. Mary’s Cemetery 
and interred. The following gentlemen acted as pall-bearers: James E Barry, Jr., 
Charles H. Rowland, E. F. Lawrence, P. X. Smith, Edward Higgins, Joseph Guthrie, 
V. Paul Ellis and Herman G. Smith.
