Virginian-Pilot  November 27, 1906
The remains of the late Captain V. C. Burrow, whose death occurred at Asheville, 
N. C., last week, arrived here Sunday night. The funeral was held from the funeral 
apartments of H. D. Oliver, 520 Freemason street, yesterday morning and was 
conducted by Rev. Father R. A. Drake, of the Sacred Heart Catholic church. There 
was a handsome display of floral tributes. The remains were laid to rest in St. 
Mary’s cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Frank Parrott, Alan G. Burrow, 
George Payne, C. H. Consolvo, Major B. W. Salomonsky, Captain E. W. Curdts, 
Captain P. E. Yeatman, Captain C. L. Wright and Fred Bryan.
