Miss Mary C. Burruss died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her m
mother on Wood Street, after a lingering illness with consumption.
Miss Burruss graduated from the Retreat for the Sick, now the Protestant 
Hospital in 1895. Her health had begun to fail rapidly some time since and 
notwithstanding love and skill were assiduous in the effort to restore her 
health and strength, she gradually grew weaker. She is survived by a mother, 
brother and sister.
