Burruss, widow of Captain Nathaniel Burruss, died yesterday morning at 2:30 o’clock at her residence, 412 Duke street, following a brief illness. Mrs. Burruss was widely known and highly esteemed. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Harry B. Jordan, wife of Colonel Harry B. Jordan, U.S.A., and Mrs. John H. Read, Jr., wife of Major John H. Read, Jr., U.S.A.; three sons, N. C. Burruss, Albert E. Burruss and Eugene L. Burruss, all of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. C. A. Nash, of Norfolk and a brother, George W. Dey, of Norfolk.
