Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 16, 1927

BURTON  - At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J.W. Rodgers, 60 B Street, 
South Norfolk, Va., Sunday afternoon, March 13, 1927, at 12:15 o'clock, MRS. 
ARABELLA ALLEN BURTON, widow of Richard Thomas Burton and daughter of the 
late Alexander A. and Mrs. Permelia D. Keirsey, aged 80 years and 26 days.
Funeral services will be conducted at the above residence THIS (Tuesday) 
AFTERNOON, March 15, at 2 o'clock.  Friends of the family are invited to 
attend.
Interment Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Arabella Allen Burton - Funeral services for Mrs. Burton, who died 
Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.W. Rogers, 60 B Street, South 
Norfolk, were conducted at the residence yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, 
the Rev. C.S. Sawyer, pastor of the South Norfolk Baptist Church, 
officiating.  The attendance was large and the floral tributes were many and 
beautiful.  The pallbearers were F.M. Smith, L. Berkley, F.C. Robertson, C. 
Shepherdson, J.H. Privott and J.J. Parkerson.  Burial was in the family lot 
in Magnolia Cemetery.
