Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 10, 2009

VIRGINIA BEACH - Edwin A. Burzynski, 86, of the 800 block of Kings Creek 
Drive, passed away Feb. 8, 2009, in his home.
A native of Chicago, he was the son of the late Frank and Adela Burzynski 
and the widower of his wife of 52 years, Margaret C. Burzynski who passed 
away July 9, 2006. He retired from the United States Navy as a chief 
radioman after 28 years of service.
He was a great man, father, grandfather and loyal American.
He is survived by his two daughters, Carol Forsythe and her husband Johnny 
of Astoria, Ore., and Kathy Dunlap and her husband William of Virginia 
Beach; five grandchildren, Mark Dunlap and wife Kristi, Wendy Dunlap, Karyn 
Forsythe, Robin Swenson and Shelly Baugher; and three great-grandchildren. 
He was predeceased by a sister, Emily and brother Ted.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Indian River Chapel, Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Condolences may be
