Bustamante, a native of Los Angeles, Calif., was the husband of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lancaster Bustamante. He had been employed by the City for 24 years. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he played baseball while in the service, at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base from 1948-1950, and later for the Chesapeake Athletic Club. This year, he reorganized the Norfolk City Employee Golf Tournament. He was a member of the Virginia Association of Real Estate Officers, a member and coordinator of the Tidewater Angels and former member of the Chesapeake Athletic Club. He was a Roman Catholic. Other survivors include five sons, Eric William Ewell of Chesapeake, Randolph Bustamante III of Orlando, Fla., Thomas Martin Bustamante, James Scott Bustamante, and Robert Michael Bustamante of Norfolk; and two grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at noon in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Newport Avenue and Painter Street, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. H.D.
