Norfolk Virginian, March 31, 1866
Our Honored Dead - The members of the N. L. A. Blues, active and honorary, 
will meet the remains of their late comrades in arms, R. M. BUTLER, Ignatius 
Higgins, William Watters and William O. Land at the Norfolk and Petersburg 
Railroad depot this afternoon at 5 o'clock p.m., and escort them to the City 
Hall, where they will lie in state until the following day (Sunday.)

The funeral of R. M. BUTLER . . . will take place from the City Hall at 4 
o'clock Sunday afternoon.

The active and honorary members will meet at City Hall punctually at 10-1/2 
o'clock Sunday morning, and at 3-1/2 o'clock in the afternoon.

Friends and acquaintances of the deceased and the public generally, are 
respectfully invited to attend.

Interment: Cedar Grove Cemetery.
