Prior to his retirement about 15 years ago, Mr. Butler was a well known contractor. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Floyd H. Powell; two sons, David A. and Leon H. Butler, all of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Mrs. Thomas H. Jones, of Norfolk, George C. Butler, USCG and Floyd H. Powell, Jr., of Norfolk; a niece, Miss Nina Butler and a nephew, Milton Butler. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. R. Sparks W. Melton, pastor of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
