Butler Dies' Railroad Agent Leon Herman Butler, aged 47, son of Mrs. Mary Allen Butler and the late David Henry Butler, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at the residence, 424 West Thirty-fifth Street, yesterday at 9:30 a.m. Mr. Butler was connected with the Norfolk and Western Railway for 31 years and at the time of his death was foreign freight agent. Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Floyd H. Powell; a brother, David A. Butler; a niece, Mrs. Thomas H. Jones and two nephews, George C. Butler and Floyd H. Powell, Jr., all of Norfolk. Mr. Butler was a member of the Freemason Street Baptist Church and of Atlantic Lodge No. 2, A.F. & A.M. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home Sunday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Sparks W. Melton, D.D., pastor of the Freemason Street Baptist Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
