NORFOLK — Esther Baylor Butler, 79, of 2709 Console Ave., a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, died Wednesday in a hospital.
She was a member of Ghent United Methodist Church and the Ghent Women Society 
and Circle.
Survivors include a son, Corydon Baylor Butler of Norfolk; two brothers, Elmore 
Savage Baylor of Norfolk and Corydon Mercer Baylor Jr. of Virginia Beach; and 
two grandsons.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, by the Revs. Robert Watts and John McHenry. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
