Norfolk - Frank Butler, 86, of 589 Ruffner street was given final rites Sunday in 
Antioch Baptist Church.  The Rev. J. W. Matthews officiated.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral Home in charge.
A native of Cripple Creek, CO, he was the husband of Mrs. Bertha Butler and a 
veteran of the Spanish-American War.  He was a retired employee of the American 
Brake Shoe Company and a member of Antioch Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Frank Butler Jr. of Richmond.  He died 
in a Hampton hospital July 2.
