Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 10, 1918

James David Butler, of 1114 Granby Street, died at the residence yesterday morning 
after an illness of three weeks.  Mr. Butler, who was 68 years old, was a native 
of North Carolina, but a resident of Norfolk for the past sixty years. He is 
survived by one daughter, Miss Nina M. Butler; one son, Milton T. Butler; a 
brother, David H. Butler, all of Norfolk and two sisters, Mrs. W.W. Wick, of 
Bridgeton, N.J. and Miss Katherine Butler, of Norfolk.  The funeral will be held 
Thursday noon at the Oliver funeral apartments on Freemason Street, Rev. A.G. 
Head, curate of Christ Church, officiating.  The interment at Elmwood will be 
private.
