Virginian Pilot, Wednesday, April 4, 1962
Norfolk - Mrs. Myrtle Morecock Butler, 65, wife of David A. Butler and daughter 
of Edgar Eugene and Mrs. Cornelia Harrell Chapman, a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, died Tuesday at 2 a.m. in her home, 1035 Buckingham Ave.

She was a member of Larchmont Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, R. Sidney Morecock of Baltimore and George C. Butler of 
Norfolk;  a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Butler Jones of Norfolk, two sisters, Mrs. H. 
L. Bonney of Manhasset, NY, and Mrs. S. K. McKee of Miami, and six 
grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted in Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home Thursday 
at 11 a.m. by the Rev. O. Edwyn Luttrell of Larchmont Baptist Church and the 
Rev. Peyton R. Williams of Christ and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.  Burial will 
be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
