Norfolk Virginian September 14, 1894

BUTLER - At residence of his brother, S.C. Butler, corner Seventh and 
Liberty streets, Berkley, Thursday, September 13th, 1894, at 8 o'clock a.m. 
D.E. BUTLER, in the 48th year of his age.
The funeral will take place from the Main Street Christian Church TODAY, 
September 14th, at 4 o'clock p.m.  Friends and acquaintances respectfully 
invited to attend.

The funeral of the late Donothan E. Butler took place yesterday at 4 o'clock 
from the Christian Church.  Rev. M.W. Butler conducted the service in the 
presence of a large number of friends and relatives of the deceased.  
Interment was made in Magnolia Cemetery.  The following gentlemen acted as 
pallbearers:  Messrs. W.E. Upton, B.T. Huntlington, Wm. McGinley, Pinkney 
Humphries, D.W. Cory and ______ World.
