Butt, who, it will be remembered, sustained serious injuries on last Monday morning by falling from the fourth story to the ground floor of his warehouse, corner Market Square and Elizabeth Street, died at about half past twelve o'clock yesterday afternoon at his residence, No. 30 Fenchurch Street. Up to within twenty-four hours before his death his condition had been considered favorable, but delirium then set in and death came not long after as stated. Mr. Butt was a native of Norfolk and was aged 52 years. He lived for some years in Portsmouth and married and engaged in business in that city. He afterwards resided in Norfolk, doing business here till his death. He leaves a family to whom the affliction is, of course, a terrible one. Mr. Butt was a man of unostentatious deportment, but true worth; he was a good citizen, though a retiring one and in all the relations of life was of an exemplary character. His funeral will take place Sunday morning at 11 o'clock from his late residence. ************ The funeral of JAMES M.
