Virginian-Pilot December 31, 1950
BUTT, HERMAN LINWOOD, SR. – At Portsmouth, Va., Saturday morning, December 30, 
1950, at 8 o’clock, HERMAN LINWOOD BUTT, SR., husband of Lucille Evans Butt, and 
son of the late James Augustus and Alice Millison Butt, in the 61st year of his 
age. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, MONDAY 
AFTERNOON, January 1, 1950 (sic), at 2 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to 
attend. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
