Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch November 18, 1921
The funeral of James A. Butt, of the Norfolk fire department, took place this 
afternoon at Burrows Memorial Baptist church, Lambert’s Point, and was very 
largely attended, a delegation of city firemen, in command of Assistant Chief 
Bunting, being present to do honor to the memory of their deceased comrade. The 
service was conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. C. H. Trueblood. There 
were many beautiful floral offerings, including designs from the firemen. The 
burial was in Elmwood.
