AUGUSTA, Ga. – Mrs. Lucille Evans Butt, 77, of 1785 Dunaway Court, died Sunday 
in a hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she lived here six years.
She was the widow of Herman Linwood Butt Sr. and a daughter of Battie H. and 
Mrs. Estelle Evans.
She was a member of Ocean View Presbyterian Church, Norfolk.
Surviving are a son, Robert Evans Butt of Percaville, Va.; six daughters, Mrs. 
Leroy Trott of Augusta, Mrs. Don Mumy of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mrs. Daniel F. 
Sheffield of Lake Worth, Fla., Mrs. Ernest R. Vadersen Sr., Mrs. Nick Ribaudo 
and Mrs. Joseph E. Abbott Jr. of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. William Presson, and a 
brother, Palmer Evans, both of Norfolk; 24 grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
The body is being sent to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, 
where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Robert N. 
Lominack Jr. of Ocean View Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery, Norfolk.
The family will be at 8534 Culfor Crescent, Norfolk. They will be at the funeral 
home tonight from 7:30 to 9.
In lieu of flowers, they suggest contributions to the Memorial Fund of Ocean 
View Presbyterian Church.
