Norfolk Virginian June 22, 1886
BUTT – Monday, June 21st, at 5 o’clock a.m., LYDIA RIGGS, infant daughter of John 
A. and Bettie F. Butt, aged 3 months and 10 days.
Her funeral will take place from the residence of her parents, No. 30 Virginia 
street, TODAY (Tuesday) at 10 o’clock a.m. Friends and acquaintances are invited 
to attend.
    Standing by the river
    We closed the weary eyes,
    In Jesus’ arms we lay her down,
    A lovely jewel for His crown.
