Virginian-Pilot July 26, 1967
NORFOLK — Mrs. Margaret Old Butt, 79, the widow of Eugene F. Butt and a daughter 
of James E. and Mrs. Etta Old, died in a Petersburg hospital Monday.
Born Feb. 20, 1888, at Rosemont, Princess Anne County, she was a member of 
London Bridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Sue Old Crawley of Norfolk; a niece, Mrs. M. Earl 
Woodhouse of Virginia Beach; and two nephews, Alton O. Crawley of Kerrville, 
Tex., and Arthur D. Old of Fulton, N.Y.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery 
for a funeral service Thursday at 11 a.m. by Dr. Edward Hughes of London Bridge 
Baptist Church and the Rev. Ben Duffey of Eastern Shore Chapel.
The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
