Mrs. Laura Alice Butt, aged 90, widow of Anthony S. Butt, died at her residence, A 
Georgian Apartments, 718 Raleigh Avenue, yesterday afternoon at 4:20 o'clock.  
Mrs. Butt was a native of Dinwiddie County and, for more than 70 years, was a 
well-known resident of Norfolk.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William E. 
Doherty; one son, Hugh V. Butt; two grandchildren, William E. Doherty, Jr., and J. 
Anthony Butt, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which Mrs. Butt 
was a member, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.  A rosary service will be held at the residence tonight at 8 o'clock.
