Virginian-Pilot, January 11, 1907
Mrs. Sarah F. Butt, widow of the late Willoughby Butt, a former well-known re
resident of Norfolk, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Leon Wood, No. 44
444 Fairfax Ave, Ghent, at 11:15 yesterday morning in the 70th year of her age.
The deceased was a native of Norfolk County but had been a resident of this c
city for many years.
She is survived by eight children-Harry Butt, Willoughby J. Butt, James W. 
Butt, Charles C. Butt, Mrs. George A. Wilson, Mrs. Edward Deddick, Mrs. J. Leon 
Wood and Miss Lelia M. Butt, all of Norfolk, with the exception of Mrs. Wilson, w
whose home is at Great Bridge, Norfolk County.
The funeral Will take place from the residence at noon Saturday.
