Mrs. Mary Louise Butts, of 2700 Myrtle avenue, died March 13 at her residence, 
following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 16 at First 
Baptist Church, Bute street, with the Rev. W. L. Hamilton officiating. Mrs. 
Butts, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of the late Clarence Butts.


Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leola King, of Norfolk; three grandchildren, 
and four great-grandchildren. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale’s 
Funeral Home in charge.
