Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch June 12, 1909
The funeral of Richard Corbin Byrd, Jr., takes place this afternoon at 5 o’clock 
from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, of which he was a member, Rev. Dr. D. W. Howard, 
the rector, officiating. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, the following 
acting as pallbearers: R. F. Baldwin, W. B. Baldwin, Judge Thos. H. Willcox, 
William Camp, Capt. Tazewell Taylor, W. H. T. Loyall, Floyd Hughes, J. L. Hubbard. 
There will be many beautiful floral tributes.
