NORFOLK - Patricia Ann Byrd , 63, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at her home in 
Norfolk. She was a native of Norfolk and a 1966 Booker T. Washington High School 
graduate. She was the daughter of the late Charles L. Byrd Sr. and Pearl Bell 
Byrd . She worked for Norfolk Social Services for more than 30 years and was a 
member of Life More Abundantly Ministries. She is survived by her daughter, 
Kennese Byrd ; and siblings, Charles L. Byrd Jr., William Byrd , Pearl Byrd , M. 
Teresa Byrd and Jacqueline Byrd . The funeral will be held at noon, Sept. 6, in 
Riddick Funeral Home. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sept. 5, at the funeral home.
