The Virginian Pilot Thursday November 22, 1956
Mrs. Anne Tazewell Walke Byrd, 84, widow of Richard C. Byrd and daughter of 
Richard and Mrs. Annie Bradford Walke, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died 
yesterday at the residence, 601 Stockley Gardens.  She was a member of Christ 
and St. Luke's Church.
Surviving her are one son, Richard W. Byrd, of Washington and three sisters, 
Miss Mary Walke, Miss Dorothy Walke and Mrs. Rufus Parks, all of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ and St. 
Luke's Episcopal Church for services tomorrow at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. 
Peyton R. Williams, rector.
Burial will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends have been requested by the family to omit flowers.
