Byrnes, son of Mrs. Bridget M. and the late Thomas Byrnes, died at the home of his mother, No. 237 Freemason street, at 10:30 o’clock yesterday morning after a lingering illness, in the twenty-third year of his age. The deceased was a young man of many excellent qualities of head and heart and was highly esteemed in the community. He held a clerkship at the city gas office at the time of his demise, but prior to that was employed in another capacity by the Traction Company. Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. F. L. Barry, Mrs. E. A Tall and Miss Julia E. Byrnes, all of this city. The funeral will be held from St. Mary’s Catholic church Monday morning at 10 o’clock.
