Byrnes of the United States Navy, was held from the residence, No. 104 York Street, at 11 o’clock yesterday morning in the presence of a large assemblage. The impressive service of the Protestant Episcopal Church was conducted by Rev. Dr. C.E. Grammer of Christ P.E. Church and Bishop A.M. Randolph, of the Southern Diocese of Virginia. There was a profusion of beautiful floral tributes. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pall-bearers: Messrs. R.B. Cooke, R.A. Dobie, D.S. Burwell, W.H. Doyle, Dr. George H. Rose, Lieutenant Hugo Osterhaus, Lieutenant Quinby, and Lieutenant Niles, of the United States Navy.
