He was the son of Mrs. Elsie Cabarras and the late William Cabarras, and was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C. He had lived here more than 40 years. He had been employed by the Craney Island Fuel Depot the last 16 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Campostella. Besides his mother, surviving are his wife, Mrs. Viola Cabarras; four sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Boldman of New York; Mrs. Mary Harrison, Mrs. Margaret Roberts and Mrs. Dorothy Beamon, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Willie Cabarras and Tom Cabarras, both of New York. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church, Campostella Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. R.L. Harris, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with the Pretlow Funeral Home in charge.
